Thank you, thank you, for writing the book “Eight Fingers and Eight Toes.” It is fascinating and informative from the standpoint of medicine; gut wrenching and poignant from the standpoint of parenting; human and heartwarming from the standpoint of unconditional love.

I highly recommend this book to anyone I know. I took a lot out of this book and reminded me again of Joseph Campbell famous saying; we must give up the life we planned for in order to live the one we are meant to & follow our bliss. God Bless & Thank you!

What an amazing story of strength and courage! As a mental health professional, I can see how easy it would be to attribute the mental health problems to the fact that they are disabled and not realize that they are independent diagnoses. She tells her story with candor and humor and with such sensitivity.

I have just finished reading “Eight Fingers and Eight Toes”. This memoir is a true report of an ordeal, compassion and courage. It captured my interest in genetics and how a mother coped with two children born with Millers Syndrome plus other physical defects and autism. The children also gave accounts of their problems and how they have been received in society. The author gave candid reports of events without embellishment or censuring. I have recommended this book to my associates, neighbors, relatives and friends.
